JENNIFER BAUER-LYONS | EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

South Fulton Arts is led by Executive Director, Jennifer Bauer-Lyons. Her career in the arts spans both the creative and administrative, and she has served as a consultant for multiple non-profits focusing on strategic leadership, financial stability, operational support, and change management. Jennifer had the honor of serving as the Managing Director for GA Shakespeare, the Managing Producer & Founder/Director of the Apprentice Company for Horizon Theatre Company, Guest Director for Oglethorpe University, as well as Theatre in the Square, Theatrical Outfit, Essential Theatre, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, New Jersey Shakespeare, Opera Memphis, having directed over 80 plays and musicals; and administratively with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Lyric Opera of Chicago. Jennifer has recently been accepted to the Allstate Foundation/Northwestern Kellogg School of Business Nonprofit Executive Training and has trained with the Center for Creative Leadership through the American Express/TCG partnership; has completed the Target/TCG Managing Theatre course, was a member of the ALMA class of 2009, holds membership in Phi Kappa Phi Honor society, and was a member of the South Fulton Chamber Leadership Class of 2022. She earned an MFA from the University of Memphis in Theatre Directing and is a member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, the professional national labor union. Jennifer volunteers with Catholic Charities of Atlanta, Junior League of Atlanta, having served as the Vice President of Internal Operations, is an ensemble singer at Christ the King Church, is an Area Advisor for the National Panhellenic Conference, and is an International Officer for Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. Additionally, Jennifer has served as a grant panelist for Georgia Council for the Arts, Fulton County Arts Council, City of Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs, a recommending judge for the Suzi Bass Awards and a panelist for the Gene Gabriel Moore Playwriting Award.

Jennifer and South Fulton Arts was honored by SOFU Legends as the nonprofit beneficiary for 2024.
